20/10/2023, Brussels. On Thursday, October 19, we were part of a meeting held at the offices of the delegation of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) in Brussels, organized by Finnova Foundation, collaborator of the LIFE ECOdigestion 2.0 project.
During the meeting, young participants from the Talent Factory School Hackathon had the opportunity to learn about the key details of the European project LIFE ECOdigestion 2.0 and engage in working groups to brainstorm sustainable solutions for six municipal challenges related to: waste collection, water conservation, sustainable housing, more sustainable cities, and climate change.
The session was introduced by Elena Domínguez Cañas, institutional coordinator and delegate of the CSIC in Brussels, who presented the mission of the CSIC and emphasized the role of young talent in developing initiatives that promote creativity.
Ester Mbomio Lagar, from Finnova’s communication department, presented the LIFE ECOdigestion 2.0 project, highlighting how it promotes sustainability through its technology for generating renewable energy (biogas) in water treatment plant digesters by mixing putrescible organic waste.
