LIFE ecodigestion 2.0 project main objective is the scaling up of the technology for the production of biogas on demand with WWTP sludge. By using agri-food waste and slurry as co-substrate. We are very excited to announce that it was presented as a success story in this gathering.

Finnova‘s CEO – Juanma Revuelta, moderated today the specialization day in Agricultural-Livestock Fair of the Euroregion Alentejo-Algarve-Andalusia. The event was held in the Sevillian city of Carmona. It was inaugurated by Juan Manuel Ávila Gutiérrez, mayor of the City Council of Carmona. We found reunited where: Specialists in digitization, investors, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders to work on a Euroferia Alentejo-Algarve-Andalusia, based on best practices of European projects with the aim of defining a future cross-border action Agroganadera 4.0.

First block “Local Institutions” – involved Juan José Saucedo García’s participation – manager of the GDR Campiña Alcores de Sevilla. He spoke about the Agricultural and Livestock Fair Agroporc. We also enjoyed the intervention of José Manuel Rodríguez Rodríguez – director manager of the Agricultural Cooperative Carmonense.  He explained the structure and operation of the cooperative as well as the importance of cooperatives in the agricultural sector.

Second block – Juan Manuel Revuelta, presented our LIFE Ecodigestion 2.0 project, led by Global Omnium and in which Finnova is a partner. Project’s main objective is the scaling of the technology for the production of biogas on demand with WWTP sludge, using agri-food waste and slurry as co-substrate.

Finally – Adrian Noheda – EU Project Manager of Finnova, opened the third block dedicated to innovation opportunities for the AgriTech sector. He gave some insights about the Accelerathon SEUA HIBA, a methodology of the Finnova Foundation. Claiming that it aims to find innovative solutions and European funding through an open innovation system. He also exposed the different European financial opportunities that exist for agrodigitization, such as the LIFE program, mentioning as an example of success and good practices, our project – LIFE Ecodigestion 2.0.
